This is a great way to get a feel for what kind of company you would like to buy from or sell for. Or, perhaps it’s not just a product you’re after but a software or organisational tool that has been perfected to be the most efficient way to keep information. For example, client rewards or predicting the hottest product to fly off your shelves for your specific business? Anything that could set your company apart from others, that you may have looked over before visiting a show.
You might be the next ambitious innovator and are wandering round soaking up all the inspiration you can find with creative fireworks setting off in your brain left, right and centre. Seeing what the market could be missing could be the first step in creating the next generation of high-quality products!
Maybe you’re on the hunt for a new brand to trial in your salon? Beauty shows give you a huge variety of brands offering so many products that you could be after. You might even be able to get your hands on a few freebies! – And who doesn’t love a freebie? Most brands will offer their products at a discounted rate so if you do fall in love with a brand or a product, why not get it that little bit cheaper? Or, even if you’re planning on trialing some items, that doesn’t mean you should have to break the bank to do so! You never know what kind of deals you could get hold of… It really is the perfect opportunity to build a new collection of best sellers or even personal faves!

If you’re attending as a company or as a customer, cutting out some of your day to attend certain lectures or tutorials could be incredibly beneficial for you! If you’re a technician wanting to learn and understand the newest trend or product, why not go to a tutorial session, or ask some of the educators at the stands? Or maybe you’re looking to get a better grasp of how to run a successful salon? Pick up your notebook and head over to some guest lectures from successful businessmen and women sharing their tips and tricks into how they did it!
Networking (Making new friends and connections)
Although talking to all sorts of people from salon owners, brands or suppliers could be intimidating and un-nerving, you’re not to worry! Everyone there is in the same boat; looking to network, share information and grow a bigger customer/client base! It doesn’t have to be a one-hit-wonder type of conversation; check out brands you’re interested in on social media too! Giving them a follow, a tweet or DM could make all the difference in having a more personal interaction with potential clients/customers or businesses. Talking face to face with suppliers gives you the opportunity to give them more of an insight into what you want to sell in your business or provide for your clients. Social media interactions are a way for you to network and have a more memorable interaction.
