PoliBuild Instructions

Materials needed:

 

1. Preparation of the Natural Nail

  1. Sanitise your hands and the client's hands.

  2. Remove existing polish or gel polish from nails.

  3. Push back the cuticles and remove non-living tissue from the nail plate.

  4. Shape the natural nails using a 180 grit nail file.

  5. Etch the nail surface gently with a 180 grit nail file to remove the natural shine.

  6. Apply tips or forms, depending on the desired extension.

  7. Remove dust with a Halo Plush Brush.

  8. Dehydrate the nail using Halo Prep & Scrub.

 

2. Application of PoliBuild

  1. Apply Halo Rubber Base Coat and cure for 30 seconds.

    • Remove any product from sidewalls or cuticles before curing.

  2. Pick up the first bead of PoliBuild using the spatula end of the PoliBuild Dual Tool.

  3. Dip the brush end into Liquid Control, wipe off excess.

    • Brush should be damp, not wet.

  4. Pat and push the PoliBuild into the desired position on the nail.

  5. Repeat steps 2–4 until the desired structure and shape is achieved.

  6. Cure the full application under the Halo Smart Lamp for 30 seconds.

    • No need to cure each bead separately.

  7. Remove the tacky layer with Halo Prep & Scrub

 

 

3. Finishing

  1. File the nail using a 180 grit file to refine shape, surface, and length.

  2. Buff the nails with the Halo Elite White Block for smoothness.

  3. Remove dust thoroughly.

  4. Apply Halo Gel Polish Non Wipe Top Coat.

  5. Cure for 30 seconds under the lamp.

  6. Let nails cool, then apply Pure Nails Cuticle Feed to nourish cuticles.

 

4. Removal

  1. Remove top coat or gel polish, breaking the seal with a 150/150 grit file.

  2. Soak nails in acetone using a soak-off bowl for 10 minutes.

  3. Scrape off softened product gently.

  4. Repeat soak and scrape as needed until fully removed.

  5. Buff and tidy the natural nails using a Halo Elite Yellow Block and 240 grit file.

  6. Finish with Cuticle Feed.
