What makes it different to normal Halo Gel Polish?

Made in the EU, this is an even higher quality formula which is long-lasting and has great pigmentation. Plus HGP+ comes in even bigger bottles!

How do I remove it?

The same as normal HGP. Simply buff through the top coat, wrap in our foils and acetone, before scraping off with our Halo Gel Scraper.

Is it HEMA-FREE?

Yes, and TPO-FREE too!

What is the consistency like?

A thick, easy to apply formula with even more pigmentation. No peeling or bubbling.

How long does it last?

With using the complete Halo Gel Polish + range, you will get a good 4 weeks from perfect prep and a standard gel manicure.

Why is it a 60 second cure?

Halo Gel Polish Plus is made in the EU, so it’s a completely new formula with new ingredients. Therefore, for it to have a full cure, the curing time is 60 seconds. We have tested it with our current Halo lamps and can ensure the perfect cure!

Can I use this with normal Halo Gel Polish?

Even though HGP+ is from the same Pure Nails family, it works and has been tested best to work alongside it’s own Base & Top Coat. However, you can of course use the products along with our systems - PoliBuild, Acrylic, EasiBuild etc.

Why have you made it if normal halo gel polish is so good?

We are always looking to improve and bring out products which professional nail techs will love. We wanted to make a HEMA and TPO free, EU made gel polish which could be the next level up from the success of our current Halo Gel Polish. HGP+ offers all the same benefits, PLUS more!

Why should I buy it?

You get even more for your money with the 12ml bottles, even more pigmentation, and even more quality with every set.

Application:

1. Prep the nail by shaping, carrying out cuticle work and removing any surface shine with a Halo Elite Yellow Block (220 grit), taking extra care to remove the shine down the side walls and around the cuticle area.

2. Remove any dust and surface oils by cleaning the nail plate using Halo Prep & Scrub.

3. Apply a thin layer of Halo Gel Polish Plus Base Coat, making sure to seal the free edge.

4. Cure for 30 seconds in a Halo Smart Lamp, a UV for nails lamp. 

5. Before applying your Halo Gel Polish Plus colour of choice, scrape off any excess gel on the neck of the bottle. Halo needs to be applied in thin coats!

6. Apply an extremely thin layer of your chosen Halo Gel Polish colour to the nail, remembering to seal the free edge. Cure for 60 seconds. 

7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for your second coat of Halo Gel Polish colour. Seal the free edge and cure for 60 seconds. 

8. Apply your Halo Top Coat of choice, seal the free edge and cure for 60 seconds.

9. If using Halo Top Coat, wait 5 seconds for the nails to cool and then remove sticky layer with Halo Gel Wipe and Halo Elite Nail Wipes. 

10. Allow nails to cool for 2 minutes before applying Halo Citrus Crush Cuticle Oil.

How to remove gel nail polish:

1. Gently buff the nail to remove all shine using a Halo Elite White Block (120 Grit). 

2. Soak some cotton wool with Pure Nails Acetone and wrap with foil. Keep clients' hands warm under a towel if necessary. 

3. Allow Pure Nails Acetone to penetrate the gel for 5-10 minutes. 

4. Remove the foil and cotton wool, sliding away any excess gel left on the nail using Pure Nails Manicure Tool. 

5. Use Halo Elite Yellow Block (220 Grit) to remove any stubborn bits of gel. Apply Halo Citrus Crush Cuticle Oil to nourish.
