All about the Halo Efile
An e-file is essential for nail technicians who want to achieve high-quality manicures and pedicures efficiently. An e-file is a tool commonly used in manicures and pedicures for shaping, smoothing, and refining nails, particularly artificial nails like acrylics and gels. It’s also useful for natural nails but requires more caution due to their delicate nature.

The Benefits
Efficiency and Speed
An e-file is much faster than a manual nail file for shaping and buffing nails, especially for professional nail technicians who need to work quickly and precisely ⏳
Precision
E-files come with different attachments (drill bits) for specialized tasks like shaping, smoothing the nail surface, and cleaning under the nails. This allows for detailed work, such as refining nail edges or working around the cuticle 👀
Removal of Artificial Nails
E-files are particularly effective for removing acrylic and gel, reducing the time and effort needed compared to traditional methods like soaking and filing by hand 💅🏼
Reducing Hand Fatigue
Using an e-file reduces strain on the hands and wrists compared to manual filing. While an e-file is a powerful and versatile tool, it requires proper training to avoid damaging the nails or cuticles, especially when used on natural nails 🥱
Looking after your Efile 'bits'
You should clean your Efile bits after every use. It is the same as using a new hand file after every client. To remove any debris from your bits, use our wire brush (which is linked above)! Then use warm soapy water first, followed by disinfectant. Cleaning inbetween clients will keep your E-File sharp and continue to work effectivley.
If your efile bits are getting clogged with gel, it's likely due to it being uncured. Fully cured gel presents as dust when filed, while uncured gel clogs the bits. This happens often if you're not using the correct lamp for your gel brand. Always use the right lamp to ensure complete curing and avoid buildup, which can lead to overexposure issues.
Another product that clogs your efile bits can be acrylic or polibuild. If this happens you may need something a little stronger to get the efile bits clean! Try putting a small amount of acetone into a dappen dish and standing the efile bits in it for around 2 minutes to loosen things up. Then use your mental brush to wipe away!
We know it's not always possible to have a clean new set of efile bits for each client, but try having at least 2-3 sets ready to go. This way you can have one ready to use, one clean and ready in your Halo Efile wallet and a spare set in case you don’t get time to clean between clients.
HAPPY E-FILING 💗💅🏼😍
